Kyushu University’s CESS (Center for Co-Evolutional Social Systems) project was adopted by the progressive COI STREAM (Center Of Innovations program) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. This program supports the institute that is working on an innovative technology research with industry-academia collaboration to change our future lifestyles. CESS is a project that industry-government academia works on the research and development of people/things, energy, information transfer, and optimizing distribution systems under the same roof. The design required a wide variety of research environment from a large clean room to a dry lab to handle huge data. We have worked on the design with Kyushu branch office of Kume Sekkei, the architectural design office.
